K Laser Technology Opens Industry’s First Cold Foil Design Lab
Sarasota, Florida (June 7, 2022) – K Laser Technology, global manufacturer of holographic and metalized substrates, is proud to announce the soft opening of the industry’s first Cold Foil Design Lab. Located at 1235 Tallevast Rd. in Sarasota, FL, the Design Lab was created to foster creativity, collaboration, and education in modern packaging design. The K Laser Technology Cold Foil Design Lab will be hosting a soft opening Fall 2022 and will be open to private showings for printers, designers, and packaging professionals by appointment only.
The 1,500 square foot Cold Foil Design Lab is thoughtfully designed to inspire. With tailored furniture, minimalist design, an open floor plan, and premium audio/visual equipment, the design lab creates an airy, light-filled, unrestrained environment for visitors to collaborate on the future of packaging design and sustainable production. Companies that are designing or redesigning product packaging are encouraged to schedule a private session at the Cold Foil Design Lab. The Lab is equipped to assist with packaging ideation, specialty print mockups, and technical education. K Laser Technology Creative Team is on site to consult on artwork for labels, packaging, shrink sleeves, sheets, folding cartons, and tube packaging designs.
Furthermore, the Cold Foil Design Lab is home to a digital embellishment unit to produce metallized and holographic print proofs on site. K Laser Technology will showcase their cold foil substrates, KOLDfoil ONE, and a new, sustainable holography solution, Viridian™ Eco-Paper and Eco-Paperboard® in samples and rolls throughout the space. The Design Lab will also display pressroom supply and design solutions from other eco-conscious print vendors, as well as, host educational and technical workshops for designers and printers, starting 2023. A public grand opening of the K Laser Technology Cold Foil Design Lab is set for winter 2022-23.
“As a supplier of cold foil substrates, our team often becomes the liaison that translates the design between the printer and the designer. When we educate designers on print capabilities and work with printers to meet the expectations of designers, the two can create harmoniously beautiful brand packaging. The Cold Foil Design Lab creates a space to nurture this collaboration to bring more synergy and creativity to sustainable packaging design and technology.” Says Nerissa Ignacio-Littman, Creative Director at K Laser Technology.
Packaging professionals can contact K Laser Technology at 941-500-1370 to schedule a private showing of the Design Lab or request an invitation to the Fall 2022 soft opening. Virtual digital embellishment demonstrations and remote consulting options are also available.
